Critical Care:
Critical care (also known as Intensive Care) at Sunshine Hospitals is the multi-professional healthcare specialty that cares for patients with acute, life-threatening illness or injury. Most of us will experience a critical illness or injury, either as the patient, family member or friend of a patient.
Sunshine Hospitals critical care unit is well equipped with 40 beds. The CCU provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary patient care at the anesthesiology pain management center. It draws upon the expertise of our faculty as well as consultants from dentistry, psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, rheumatology and physical medicine and other specialists. Our dedicated hospital facility includes specialized procedure rooms with state of the art monitoring, interview and observation rooms.
Sunshine Hospitals has the largest CCU in Andhra Pradesh, India and these are segregated into the following units -
Medical CCU
Surgical CCU
Post Operative CCU
Cath CCU
Neuro CCU

Post surgical care
Typical examples of critical illness include heart attack, poisoning, pneumonia, surgical complications, premature birth, and stroke. Critical care also includes trauma care- care of the severely injured- whether due to an automobile accident, gunshot or stabbing wounds, a fall or an industrial accident.
Sunshine critical care nurses provide a high level of skilled nursing for total patient care and often facilitate communication between all of the people involved in the care of the patient. Their expertise and continuous presence allows early recognition of subtle, but significant, changes in patient conditions, thereby preventing worsening conditions and minimizing complications that arise from critical illness.
Pain Management:
The department of pain management exists to diagnose and treat a wide variety of pain disorders. We offer a full range of services, including interventional and non-interventional techniques and treat a wide variety of conditions.
